Diamond Environmental Director and Principal Consultant, Mike Slater was recently elected as the President Elect of the British Occupational Hygiene Society. Mike, who is a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene and a Chartered Occupational Hygienist, has been an active member of the Society for over 30 years and has served on BOHS Council for the last 6 years.
He will serve as President Elect until the BOHS Conference in April 2014 when he will be installed as President. Mike said
“it is a great honour to be elected to serve as President and I am looking forward to fulfilling the role and representing BOHS members. During my term I hope to see BOHS take a more active role in advocating and promoting occupational hygiene to influence national policy to achieve significant improvement in worker health protection in the UK.”
