Venue Details

The majority of module courses are of five consecutive days duration. There are four days of intensive training with revision and homework, followed by the BOHS examination on the final day. Delegates will be
informed directly by BOHS of their results.

The public courses will be held in the historic city of Chester, which is easily accessible by rail, road and air. Chester offers a wide variety of options for accommodation and places to eat within a short distance of the city centre. Obviously in-house courses would be arranged at a venue to suit the client.

FAQs

bullet
What is the format of the courses?
The courses are aimed at those individuals who want to learn more about a particular subject area and for those who want to be
successful in the BOHS Module examination. They are intensive but we try to deliver them in an informal learning atmosphere. Delegate numbers are limited to allow individual attention.

bullet
Who delivers the lectures?
Our lecturers are experienced Occupational Hygienists and
presenters. We have been providing these types of courses
successfully for over 15 years. Where appropriate we engage other professionals to deliver certain aspects of the syallabi, such as Ergonomists.

bullet
Can I do just the BOHS examination?
Yes, but you need to contact BOHS directly to organise this.

bullet

What background knowledge do I need?
Strictly speaking none but you will find the courses much easier if you have a rudimentary understanding of scientific and mathematical concepts. Workplace experience also can help in certain areas of the Module syallabi.

bullet
Which is the best Module to start with?
If you are thinking of embarking on the BOHS Modular route to gain exemption from the written part of the Certificate of Operational Competence it is not necessary to do the Modules in any particular order. We would suggest you start with a subject area you feel comfortable with if you can. Have a look at the syllabi and choose the one of most interest to you.

bullet Can I do just one Module?
Yes, they can be taken on a stand alone basis. For example : if you want to learn about Noise and Vibration alone then choose M104.
